Aston Villa striker Scott Hogan could reportedly leave the club this month.

Aston Villa supporters on Twitter believe it is time for Scott Hogan to leave amid rumours that he is attracting interest from other Championship clubs.

The Daily Mail claim that the 26-year-old striker is of interest to Championship duo Bristol City and Sheffield United after falling out of favour at Villa Park.

It is said that Lee Johnson’s side and Chris Wilder’s promotion-chasing team are willing to take a chance on him, but have only asked to take him on an initial loan.

Hogan moved to the Midlands during the January transfer of 2017 when he left Dean Smith’s Brentford to join Steve Bruce at Villa.

However, since that big-money move, he has struggled to prove his worth, with form, a lack of game time, confidence and injuries all playing a part in his struggles

Therefore, it isn’t a surprise to see that most Villa supporters would be happy to see him leave because they simply think it has not worked out for him.

One Villa fan did feel that it would be ‘daft’ if Villa let him go to a team like Sheffield United, who are currently above Smith’s side in the table and sitting in the Championship’s top-six.

Here is a selection of Villa fans reacting on Twitter to the Hogan rumours:

During his time at Villa, Hogan has played 61 games in all competitions, scoring 10 goals and supplying four assists for his teammates.

Overall in the Championship, he has found the back of the net on 28 occasions in 89 matches, with the majority of those strikes coming at his previous club, according to transfermarkt.
