Aston Villa are set for a busy summer transfer window after earning promotion to the Premier League.

Aston Villa fans would prefer that the club doesn’t pursue their reported interest in Real Valladolid midfielder Ruben Alcaraz.
Spanish outlet Marca have claimed that Villa have entered the race for the 28-year-old following their promotion to the Premier League on Monday.
It said Villa have joined the race to sign the £9 million man, with his current club Valladolid currently owned by Brazil legend Ronaldo.
It is fair to say that the La Liga player is an unknown player to those in Claret and Blue, therefore, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the supporters were reluctant to purchase him.
But saying that, so was John McGinn an unknown figure before he arrived from Hibernian, and he has gone on to become a popular figure amongst the Villa Park faithful.
Nonetheless, here is a selection of Villa fans on Twitter reacting to those rumours surrounding Alcaraz:
Dean Smith’s side recently earned promotion to the Premier League when the attack-minded manager guided his team to a 2-1 win over Derby in the play-off final at Wembley.
It means that Villa have now ended their three-year absence from England’s top-flight and they will be locking horns with the best of the best next term.
