Leeds United are said to want a double swoop for the Aston Villa talents.

Aston Villa fans claim that there is no way that Steve Bruce should consider accepting Leeds United’s swoop for Ross McCormack and Tommy Elphick.

The Sun reported in their printed edition [23rd January, page 55], that Leeds were lining up a £7 million bid for the Villa pair.

But claret and blues fans feel that Leeds would be getting the better deal if they were to sell for that price.

Both Elphick’s and McCormack’s futures at Villa are far from certain, after a difficult time at the Midlands club in recent seasons.

Elphick has played in three of Villa’s last five matches, but he has struggled to hold down a first-team place.

McCormack, meanwhile, appears to have a very minimal chance of forcing his way back into contention at Villa.

McCormack has been sent out on loan to Australian side Melbourne City, and even though he has scored regularly, it seems unlikely Villa will take him back.

McCormack, of course, is well known to Leeds fans, having played for the Whites earlier in his career, and a return to Elland Road could appeal to the 31-year-old.
