Aston Villa midfielder Ashley Westwood has been linked with a move to Burnley.

A majority of Aston Villa fans appear to suggest that they would be getting the better of a deal, if Ashley Westwood does move to Burnley.
The Birmingham Mail suggest that Westwood is of interest to the Premier League new boys.
Villa fans appear to be of the opinion that Westwood would be a decent option for them in the Championship, but with a £6 million bid of the table – they are encouraging Roberto Di Matteo to sell.

Most Villa fans feel that Burnley are paying over the odds for the central midfielder, who is a solid rather than a spectacular player.
Burnley want Westwood as they are on the look out for additions to replace Joey Barton.
Barton moved to Rangers earlier in the transfer window, leaving Sean Dyche’s side with a big void in the centre of their midfield.

Villa, meanwhile, are understood to be mulling over whether to sell Westwood.
While the former Crewe man was once expected to be part of Di Matteo’s plans, the scale of the offer would provide them with added funds to invest in other areas of their side.
