Aston Villa supporters on Twitter have expressed their excitement about their reported interested in Luton Town’s James Justin.

The Daily Mail have claimed that Villa are ready to table a bid for the Luton defender despite interest from Premier League side Leicester City.

It is said that Villa’s fellow Championship side Stoke City, who are managed by Justin’s former manager Nathan Jones, are also keen on his signature.

At this moment in time, Villa and their manager Dean Smith will have to put their transfer business on hold because they don’t know what division they will be in next season.

On Monday, they travel to Wembley where they are one game away from reaching the Premier League as Frank Lampard’s Derby County stand in their way.

Given Justin’s age, 21, it isn’t a surprise that someone like Smith is interested in his services because he is known to give young talent a chance.

Justin is a high-quality and up and coming fullback, who recently helped Luton earn promotion from League One, as they could potentially play Villa in the second tier next season if they fail in their promotion bid.

Here is a selection of Villa fans on Twitter reacting to those Justin rumours:

At this moment in time, Villa’s fullbacks are Neil Taylor, Ahmed Elmohamady, Alan Hutton, Kortney Hause and James Bree – the latter was on loan at Ipswich Town from January.

Right-back Hutton has only featured once under Smith since February, whilst Taylor and Elmohamady have been regulars at left-back and right-back, respectively in recent months.
