Aston Villa are reportedly keen on signing Watford midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah on loan.

Aston Villa supporters on Twitter would welcome the signing of Watford midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah amid speculation that he could join the club.
BBC Sport claim that Villa are considering a loan move for the 24-year-old midfielder as manager Dean Smith looks to add depth and quality to his squad before Thursday’s deadline.
At this moment in time, Villa have Conor Hourihane, Jack Grealish, John McGinn, Mile Jedinak, Glenn Whelan, Birkir Bjarnason and Henri Lansbury as midfield options.
But a number of those players have struggled with injuries, are currently on the sidelines or have hardly featured since Smith walked through the doors of Bodymoor Heath in October.
Therefore, it wasn’t a surprise to see that many Villa fans on Twitter would love to see the club add Chalobah to their squad because they feel he can play a part in them finishing in the playoff places.
One supporter pointed out that he would be a ‘big presence’ in the middle of the park and that he is ‘good mates’ with Villa duo Jack Grealish and Tammy Abraham from England’s youth set-up.
Here is a selection of Villa supporters reacting to the Chalobah reports:
England international Chalobah came through the ranks at Chelsea, winning the Premier League title with the London club in 2017 before moving to Vicarage Road, according to transfermarkt.
During his career, he has played in the second tier of English football before, representing the likes of Nottingham Forest and Reading.
