Aston Villa fans are starting to believe that John Terry may still sign for them after all.
Terry seemed all set to join Spartak Moscow on a free transfer, and underwent a medical with them.
That leaves Villa with a chance of landing the veteran centre-back, and the Villa Park crowd are starting to believe a return could be possible.
Villa couldn’t afford to keep Terry at the back end of last season, with his contract expiring.
But Bruce has made no secret of his admiration for the way that Terry played for Villa and his return would be welcomed.
Villa have not looked anywhere near as secure at the back without the former England international in their defence.
Terry may take a while to get up to speed if he does join Villa as he has been without a club for the whole of the campaign to date.
