A number of Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the reports emerging from The Sun this week which have suggested that the Villans have had a bid accepted for Wolves defender Kortney Hause.

Dean Smith’s January priority appears to be strengthening Villa’s defence. He took over with few options to pick from at the back, and has wasted little time adding to his ranks.

Lovre Kalinic has already arrived, and The Sun is now reporting that Hause is in line to become Villa’s second addition of the January window, with the club having had a bid accepted by Wolves.

Hause has barely featured for the Premier League side since Nuno Espirito Santo was appointed ahead of last season. But he does still boast a decent amount of experience for a 23-year-old, having already made over 60 league appearances for the club.

Nevertheless, there appears to be plenty of Villa supporters who have their doubts about how good a signing Hause will prove to be. Given Smith’s lack of options, he will likely go straight into the side, and some fans are not sure that he will be the answer to their problems.

It must be mentioned that Wolves had high hopes for Hause in the past, and some fans are more optimistic about the links. But some Villa supporters feel that he could prove to be an underwhelming addition at this stage.
