Aston Villa striker Keinan Davis has found first-team minutes hard to come by this season, but when he has been given a chance, he has shone.

Aston Villa fans on Twitter have praised Keinan Davis for the shift he put in during their 3-1 win at Brighton in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night.
Whilst Davis didn’t get on the scoresheet, he did provide Conor Hourihane with an assist for Villa’s second goal of the game, as they went on to book their place in the next round.
Striker Davis has only started in the EFL Cup matches for Dean Smith’s side this season, with summer signing Wesley keeping him out of the first-team set-up in the Premier League.
Despite the lack of game time in the league, there are some sections of the Villa support who would like to either see Davis start against Burnley at the weekend or, at the very least, earn some minutes.
Usually, Smith has used Davis as a very late substitute during games, but his performance on Wednesday night perhaps proves that he now deserves a little bit more time on the pitch.

Davis showcased his strength and hold up play against Brighton. This was proven when his bursting run down the left-hand side resulted in him cutting the ball back for Hourihane to slot home.
Nonetheless, if Davis can add to his recent cup performances then the powerhouse could possibly save Villa a lot of money because there is the thought that Smith is a little short in the attacking third.
If Davis can step up then there might not be a need to dip into the January market to add a bit more bite into Villa’s forward line, with Wesley, Davis and the currently injured Jonathan Kodjia fighting for those places.
