Josh Onomah has left Tottenham Hotspur to join Aston Villa on a season-long loan deal in the summer transfer window.

Aston Villa fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the signing of Josh Onomah from Tottenham Hotspur on a season-long loan deal.

As announced on Spurs’ official Twitter page, the 20-year-old midfielder has signed a new contract with the North London outfit and has joined Championship club Villa on a season-long loan deal.

The 20-year-old operates as a box-to-box midfielder, but the England Under-21 international is also able to play out wide.

Onomah is a very good and talented young player, and although many Villa fans are happy with the club’s decision to sign him on loan from Spurs, there are some who think that he is not going to solve their problems and want young players from their own academy being given the chance.

Villa have one of the best and strongest squads in the Championship, and the Villans will be aiming to finish in the top six this season.

Onomah is a young and dynamic midfielder with huge potential, and although he may not be guaranteed a place in the Villa starting lineup right away, he could prove to be a brilliant player for Steve Bruce’s side as the season progresses.
