The Spaniard played just two games for Villa during his time in England.

Yesterday saw Aston Villa clear the decks slightly with the departure of Spanish defender Jose Angel Crespo.
The Spaniard finally completed a long-protracted move to Greek outfit PAOK Salonika yesterday after just one season at Villa Park.
It was certainly not a memorable time at the club for the 29-year-old Spaniard.

Signed from Cordoba last summer the former Spanish under-21 international struggled to make an impact at Aston Villa.
He played just two games for the club, both defeats, and was eventually loaned to Rayo Vallecano in the January transfer window.
Aston Villa were relegated whilst he was in Spain, at a club who were also relegated from La Liga – so he suffered a double relegation last season.

All in all, it was a difficult spell at Villa for the Spaniard.
But many a Villa fan will wish him well and lay no blame at his door for the poor season that the club suffered – considering that he barely featured, that would be a harsh way to treat the player.
He never really got a chance at Villa and hopefully he can have a better time of it now he has moved to Greece…
