Aston Villa were left red-faced yesterday, as they gave away a 1-0 lead to lose 3-1 at Bristol City.
Roberto Di Matteo’s side capitulated in the second-half – to the frustration of their suffering fans.
Plenty of players did not have their best day at the office for Villa yesterday, but on Twitter it was Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew who bore the brunt of the criticism.
He was poor in the game and it led to quite a backlash on the internet.

However, the conversation is clearly not just one-way traffic.
There is no doubt that Ayew struggled in the game and looked, at times, disinterested.
But the Ghana striker has been one of Villa’s harder working players for some time now and it seems that has been forgotten by plenty of the Villa fans.
There is of course the debate over whether he should be sold. The transfer window shuts next week and he has been linked with plenty of clubs throughout the summer.
Some Aston Villa fans seem to feel the forward may be hoping an exit does occur, others are even wishing it themselves…
