The Ivorian is starting to frustrate fans with his playing style.

Aston Villa’s poor form in the Championship continued this weekend, as they lost 1-0 at home against Ipswich Town courtesy of a late Emyr Huws goal.

The result means Villa are now without a win in eight games, since the Boxing Day triumph v Burton Albion.

This is despite a massive outlay in the January transfer window, with the likes of Sam Johnstone, Henri Lansbury, Neil Taylor, Conor Hourihane, Birkir Bjarnason and Scott Hogan all joining the club.

So what is going wrong?

Many an Aston Villa fan is in no doubt that one of the summer signings is not helping matters.

Jonathan Kodjia has, on paper, had a good season for the club.

But the Ivorian international is not impressing fans of the club with some of his recent performances. Many a Villa fan believes that the striker is being selfish in his approach to games and that Hogan, signed from Brentford in January to partner him up top, will struggle to have an impact if Kodjia continues playing the way he is.

Others however believe that Kodjia is an easy scapegoat for Aston Villa fans and that simply put, the whole team is just not pulling their weight.

Here is some of the best reaction to the performance from Twitter…
