Jacob Ramsey made his Aston Villa debut in their latest Championship clash.

Several Aston Villa fans have praised Jacob Ramsey’s cameo after the 17-year-old was handed his senior debut with a substitute appearance in the Villans’ 2-0 defeat on Saturday.
Dean Smith’s side have seen their play-off hopes dealt another blow as goals from Hal Robson-Kanu and Jay Rodriguez helped West Brom to the three points on another disappointing afternoon for the home side.
It appears that Smith may possibly be turning some of his attention towards next season as he decided to bring Ramsey on when he also had the likes of Jonathan Kodjia, Albert Adomah and Anwar El Ghazi available to him on the bench.
The teenager replaced Conor Hourihane shortly after the hour-mark and looked bright while he was on the pitch. He was certainly not afraid to show for the ball at a time when the atmosphere was turning fairly toxic.

And while some felt that Ramsey did not show enough while he was on the pitch, the large majority of Aston Villa fans on social media appeared to be full of praise for the teenager – who was born a couple of weeks after John Gregory guided the club to an eighth place finish in the Premiership.
And with many starting to write off this season, the fans have implored Smith to hand Ramsey more chances to impress in the coming weeks, especially as some of his more experienced options are not enjoying a good run of form at all right now.

Here is what some of the supporters made of Ramsey’s debut…
