Tottenham Hotspur are said to be closing in on the signing of Jack Grealish from Aston Villa.
Aston Villa supporters have raved about Jack Grealish’s performance for them in pre-season, amid rumours that he could be set to make a move to Tottenham Hotspur in the near future.
Spurs are said to be closing in on Grealish, as reported by the Daily Mirror, but the youngster was given another chance to pull on the Villa shirt last night.
Grealish caught the eye as Villa ran out 4-1 winners over Walsall, with claret and blues fans raving about the attacking midfielder’s display.
Grealish is Villa’s most valuable asset, and Spurs are expected to take advantage of Steve Bruce’s side’s financial struggles to land him.
Villa simply have to sell players to raise funds to fit in with Financial Fair Play, and Tottenham are keen on Grealish.
The youngster was one of the standout players in the Championship last season, and could enhance the quality of Mauricio Pochettino’s attacking options.
At Spurs, Grealish will be in competition with Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen for a first-team place.
