Lansbury featured for Villa in the Championship game against Brighton at Villa Park on Sunday afternoon.
The 26-year-old midfielder started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the Villans played out a 1-1 draw with the Seagulls.
The former England Under-21 international joined Villa from Championship rivals Nottingham Forest in January for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Mail to be worth £3 million.
Lansbury scored six goals and created 29 chances in 17 Championship matches for Forest this season before his move to Forest in the January transfer window
The former Arsenal prospect failed to score a single goal in 18 league appearances for Villa this campaign, but he created 25 chances.
