Aston Villa fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to Harry Redknapp’s comments about Gabriel Agbonlahor.

Villa returned to winning ways in the Championship on Sunday afternoon with a narrow 1-0 victory over Birmingham City at Villa Park.

Gabriel Agbonlahor’s goal midway through the second half proved to be the difference between the two sides.

After the match, Birmingham manager Redknapp, who was appointed in the role only last week following the departure of Gianfranco Zola, made some rather strange and amusing comments about 30-year-old Villa striker Agbonlahor.

“He’s come on and had 10 minutes,” The Birmingham Mail quotes Redknapp as saying about Agbonlahor. “That will keep him happy here for another year.”

Villa fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to Redknapp’s comments about Agbonlahor. Below are some of the best comments:

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Villa Park on Sunday afternoon, hosts Villa had 49% of the possession, took four shots of which one was on target, and earned one corner, according to BBC Sport.

Visitors Birmingham had 51% of the possession, took six shots of which one was on target, and earned three corners, according to BBC Sport.
