Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish has been linked with a surprise move to Premier League side Middlesbrough, by the Daily Mail.
Grealish was a breakthrough star two seasons ago at the club but struggled badly as the team were relegated last season.

This campaign has seen more in between, with Grealish inconsistent but still showing flashes of his potential.
He has scored three goals and provided one assist this season in the Championship, but has gone seven straight games without producing either.
Now 21, Villa ought to be seeing Grealish settle and start to exert himself of games more forcefully. His task could be made more complicated by the January arrivals of midfield duo Henri Lansbury and Conor Hourihane.

Middlesbrough are in the bottom half of the Premier League but not quite dragged into the relegation battle.
It makes sense for them to still be looking at strengthening at this late stage of the transfer window, although Grealish is still an unknown quantity.
He fits the profile of player they should be targeting, he is young, has played in the top flight before, and has an ability to create chances and change games.
