Dean Smith’s Aston Villa have turned their season around by winning five games on the bounce in the Championship.

Many Aston Villa fans on Twitter feel that Tyrone Mings did himself a world of good as England manager Gareth Southgate was in attendance during the 2-1 win over Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
There is no doubt that playmaker Jack Grealish is Villa’s main man at the club, with his performances in recent weeks seeing supporters tipping him for a potential national call-up.
Therefore, the Villa Park faithful would have been pleased to see their former player watch Grealish in action at the weekend in order to get a closer look at him.
But on the day, Grealish wasn’t at his best aside from the first half an hour when Dean Smith’s side produced some of the best football they have played this season.
The Villa fans on Twitter pointed towards centre-back Mings and how he may have caught the eye of the England manager with his towering display.
Here is a selection of Villa fans reaction to Southgate’s appearance:

If Smith does achieve what looked like the unthinkable over a month ago then there will be many Villa players who Southgate will have his eye on in terms of earning an England call.
