Barry is still remembered very fondly by Villa fans, after the spell that he spent with the club during his younger years.
The central midfielder came through Villa’s academy to become a star for their senior side.
Barry made 441 appearances for the claret and blues, over an 11 year stay in their first-team.
However, the 36-year-old has just left Everton to pen a contract with West Bromwich Albion.
And Villa fans admit that Barry will be an excellent signing for their local rivals, even though they wish he was playing elsewhere.
West Brom have moved to sign Barry to replace Darren Fletcher, and offer them more experience in midfield.
Barry was actually linked with a return to Villa earlier in the transfer window, but seemingly wanted to remain in the Premier League and took the chance to move to the Hawthorns and join Tony Pulis’ side.
