Aston Villa finally offloaded Gabriel Agbonlahor this summer, but he could make a swift return to Villa Park.

The Daily Mirror have suggested that Gabriel Agbonlahor could return to Aston Villa, but the Villa Park crowd seem to be completely against the idea of a return.

Agbonlahor was released from Villa this summer, ending his 12-year association with the club.

However, Villa’s financial problems means that the forward could be an option for them as a free agent.

Steve Bruce is now said to be considering bringing Agbolahor back to Villa Park.

But claret and blues fans are desperately hoping that the rapid forward does not return to Villa Park.

Agbonlahor did not have much impact at Villa last season, as he struggled with injury.

If the 31-year-old was to return to Villa he could find competition for places much reduced.

Bruce’s side are expected to offload a sizeable number of their players this summer, with many of their top earners set to move elsewhere.
