Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to heap praise on Conor Hourihane after he put in a brilliant performance for Steve Bruce’s side as they came away from Sunderland with a 3-0 win.

With the Black Cats at the bottom of the table, the Villans would have felt plenty of pressure on them as they look to keep themselves in the hunt for the automatic-promotion spots out of the Championship.

But they coped with the pressure extremely well to heap misery on Chris Coleman’s side and keep themselves within touching distance of the top two as they ran out comfortable winners.

One of the most impressive performers at the Stadium of Light was Conor Hourihane, who seemed to be in complete control in the middle of the park and was a real driving force for the Villans.

The Villa fans have lauded Hourihane’s performance and commented on how influential he has become in a midfield that seems to have goals coming from every direction right now.
