Aston Villa have won five games on the bounce in the Championship and are now sitting in the play-off places.

Aston Villa fans on Twitter urged the club to sign winger Anwar El Ghazi on a permanent basis after the club posted a message praising him for his recent performances.
The 23-year-old moved to Villa Park last summer when Steve Bruce snapped him up on a season-long loan from Ligue 1 side Lille.
At first, he struggled to earn consistent game time and produce the goods on a regular basis. But when Dean Smith walked through the doors in October, he soon became a favourite of the attack-minded coach.
El Ghazi has started 16 league games under Smith, including their 2-1 win over Blackburn Rovers on Saturday when he assisted Tammy Abraham for the opening goal.
Nonetheless, here is Villa’s official Twitter message praising El Ghazi for his recent displays:
Many Villa fans echoed the club’s words and felt that El Ghazi has been superb for them this season and he doesn’t get ‘enough credit’ for his work.
Other supporters made it clear that the Midlands outfit have to sign up the Lillee loanee on a permanent basis when the transfer window re-opens.
But just like his teammates, El Ghazi’s future in B6 will be largely dependable on whether the club can earn promotion to the Premier League this season.
Here is a selection of Villa fans reacting to the club’s official Tweet about El Ghazi:
Smith’s side have won five games on the bounce now and they will be looking to continue that run when they take on fellow promotion rivals Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend.
These next few weeks could determine whether or not Villa finish in the top-six because the games will be coming thick and fast, including a number of midweek matches.
