Aston Villa fans cannot believe their bad luck, with Callum O’Hare set to miss the start of the season with injury.

O’Hare is set to be out for 10 weeks, after the Birmingham Mail reported that he has picked up an injury in the Hong Kong Sevens tournament.

O’Hare will now miss the entirety of pre-season, and that is a major blow for Villa.

With Jack Grealish’s future up in the air, there was a feeling that O’Hare could be his natural replacement.

The youngster has been on the verge of making a breakthrough at Villa for some time, and he possesses similar qualities.

But the set-back has come at the worst possible time for Steve Bruce’s side, and claret and blues fans are very frustrated.

There is a lot of anxiety around Villa for the new campaign, following their failure to win the play-off final.

Fears are growing that Villa could be forced to sell many of their key players, which could leave them heavily reliant on their youngsters next term.
