Jack Grealish scored both home and away against Birmingham City last season and then guided Aston Villa to the Premier League.

Aston Villa supporters on Twitter have provided mixed reactions to Birmingham City being fined £42,500 for an incident which saw a spectator, Paul Mitchell, run onto the pitch and attack Jack Grealish in March.
As reported by Sky Sports, Mitchell was sentenced to 14 weeks in prison for his actions during the Second City and given a 10-year banning order from all football stadiums, with the Football Association now warning Birmingham about their future conduct.
Some Villa fans have joked that Birmingham’s transfer budget has ‘gone’ as a result of that fine, whilst others stated that the fine is the same as Villa Park’s capacity.
Other Villa supporters have also voiced their displeasure at the low amount the Football Association have fined the Blues, who are now sitting a division below their neighbours.
During that game, Grealish went on to score the winning goal in the second half, and whilst they didn’t know it at the time, it was the second of a 10-match winning run Dean Smith’s side would go which would see them earn promotion to the Premier League.

During that season, Grealish scored both home and away against Villa’s bitter rivals – first during their 4-2 win on home soil and then during their 1-0 win at St Andrew’s.
Both Villa and Blues won’t contest a Second City derby this season because their rivals are sitting in the Championship, whilst they are in the Premier League, but they could still meet in the FA Cup.
That, of course, depends on both staying in the competition and then being lucky enough to be drawn against one another, with the FA Cup set to kick off in January.
Nonetheless, Grealish will now focus on Premier League matters, with his team recording a goalless draw against West Ham on Monday night, as they will now be preparing for their game against Arsenal on Sunday.
