Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to react to Andre Green’s brilliant performance in the Villans’ under-23 side’s emphatic victory over their West Bromwich Albion counterparts on Monday night.

It has been a frustrating season for Green so far, with injury ruling him out from September after he had made five appearances in the Championship at the beginning of the campaign.

The 19-year-old made it three goals in two games as he scored a brace in the win over West Brom – with Callum O’Hare also scoring from the spot in the victory – and that has certainly impressed a number of the Villans supporters.

Many have taken to Twitter to suggest that Bruce showed reward the teenager by handing him a place on the bench in the coming weeks while he is high on confidence.

It appears that if Green can take his current form into the first-team, he could prove to be something of a wildcard for the Villans as they battle for promotion out of the Championship.

Here is the best of the reaction…
