Aston Villa winger Andre Green produced an impressive performance to help his side record a second successive win.

Academy graduate Green featured for 86 minutes, before being withdrawn after appearing to pick up a hamstring injury.

That late injury was the only sour note on an excellent night for Villa, who picked up a second successive clean sheet.

Green came close to getting on the scoresheet, hitting the woodwork with a cleanly hit shot from outside the box.

He created one goalscoring chance, and linked up impressively with scorer Jonathan Kodjia.

Green also recorded the highest pass completion rate in the Villa XI, managing 82.5 per cent, and even dug in defensively, making three clearances.

The 18-year-old was making his fourth league start of the season and second in succession, with all four coming under Steve Bruce.

He also has nine substitute appearances to his name, and while he is yet to score, last night was as close as he had come.
