Aston Villa youngster impressed in win.
Aston Villa recalled Andre Green to the side last night for the away trip to Nottingham Forest.
The decision paid off with Dean Smith’s team winning 3-1 at the City Ground.
Villa’s wingers Albert Adomah and Anwar El-Ghazi have been inconsistent this season.
It was about time that Andre Green got a chance to show what he can do, and he may have done enough to keep his place.
Green was on loan at Portsmouth earlier this year and seems better for it.
He created three chances, more than any other Villa player, and won three aerial duels, again – more than any Villa teammate.
It wasn’t perfect. Green completed only 70 per cent of his passes, and he had no attempts at goal, so there are areas for improvement.
Overall though it was a positive showing.
