Adomah was one of the poorer performances on the night, and missed a last minute penalty which could have saved Villa.
And claret and blues fans have been left staggered by the winger’s more recent performances, as his form seems to have dipped badly.
Adomah begun last season in brilliant form, and became one of Villa’s most feared attackers.
However, the experienced wide-man has just not kept those standards up, with the Ghanian struggling to score more recently.
Adomah could now be set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines, especially as Yannick Bolasie has just been added to Villa’s squad.
Bruce’s side are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Sheffield United.
