The win has increased the positivity levels around Villa Park, but there are still things to work on for Bruce’s men.
Villa were without the ball for large portions of the match against Derby, but a header from James Chester provided them with the three points.
Villa fans still did not appear to be entirely convinced by all their players’ performances, with Adomah facing the most criticism.
Adomah has been out of sorts for Villa in recent weeks, with his usual attacking spark lacking.
The former Middlesbrough man is far from the only Villa player to be lacking in form, though.
The claret and blues’ victory over Derby was their first three point haul of 2017.
Villa are now in 17th place in the Championship table, and have put further distance between themselves and the relegation zone.
