Aston Villa winger Albert Adomah struggled to impress.

Aston Villa winger Albert Adomah is still searching for the form which made him one of the Championship’s most dangerous players early last season.

Adomah started last night as Villa earned a narrow Carabao Cup win over Yeovil Town.

Conor Hourihane scored Villa’s winner after a nervous opening 77 minutes from Steve Bruce’s side.

Getting the best out of Adomah continues to be a conundrum.

Adomah scored 14 goals last season but has not looked like close to getting off the mark so far this campaign.

The winger was subject of transfer speculation before the transfer window closed, with the Birmingham Mail reporting Aston Villa have decided not to renew his contract.

His form early this season has been a weak response, and will not yet cause the club to change their minds.
