Aston Villa are reportedly about to hand Albert Adomah a new contract with the Championship club.

A number of Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to express their delight at the reports emerging from the Sunday People (02/12; page 47) at the weekend suggesting that Albert Adomah is going to sign a new contract with the club.
Adomah is reestablishing himself as an important player at Villa following Dean Smith’s appointment. Under Steve Bruce, he appeared to be on his way out the exit (via Sunday People) despite enjoying an excellent spell last season.
The 30-year-old scored 14 goals in the Championship last term, and his record in around two and a half seasons with the Villans stands at 17 goals and 17 assists in the league.
He was excellent in the Second City derby win last month, providing two assists before coming off injured. And that is perhaps why a number of supporters are extremely pleased that Adomah is set to pen fresh terms.

They feel that the winger has more than earned that new contract given the way that he has fought back from the brink of the exit under Bruce.
There are some who feel that it is not a particularly exciting move from the club to keep Adomah when he may not have too much longer at his peak, but the large majority on social media appear to be delighted with the news.
