Aston Villa midfielder Aaron Tshibola was unfortunate to end up on the losing team against Cardiff after an energetic second half performance.
Tshibola, 22, was a half-time substitute for Steve Bruce’s side in the 1-0 loss, coming on along with Gabby Agbonlahor for woeful duo Gary Gardner and Ashley Westwood.

The pair had combined for only nine touches in 45 minutes, a figure which Tshibola himself out performed, with 47 of his own.
The summer signing completed 94 per cent of his passes and created one goalscoring chance, having one shot at goal which landed off target.

It was just Tshibola’s seventh appearance of the season, and his display is likely to have earned him more opportunities under Bruce, who told the Birmingham Mail last week that he had no plans to allow him to leave, in response to recent transfer speculation.
His performance certainly offered Villa fans hope despite the result, which has them sitting in 12th place in the Championship standings.
