Aston Villa are reportedly interested in RB Leipzig striker Jean-Kevin Augustin, who is available for around £15 million.

A number of Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from Sky Sports suggesting that Dean Smith is keen to sign Jean-Kevin Augustin during the final hours of the transfer window.
Villa have enjoyed an incredibly productive window, having managed to strengthen in almost every area of the pitch since winning the Championship play-off final at the end of last season.
But it appears that the Villans are looking to make the most of the remaining time before the deadline passes, with Sky Sports reporting that they are one of the teams interested in signing Augustin from RB Leipzig, along with the likes of Crystal Palace, Nice and Monaco.
Augustin did not have the best year last term, scoring just three goals in the Bundesliga. But he has previously enjoyed success in that league, scoring 12 times during the campaign in which he worked under Ralph Hasenhuttl.

And it appears that the large majority of Villa supporters on social media are very keen to see the club take a gamble on the 22-year-old, believing that he has the potential to improve considerably in the coming years.
Smith has a fantastic record of developing players and getting the best out of them, and they seem to think that Augustin has the potential to be a revelation if Villa manage to win the race for his signature. For many, a deal would be the perfect way to end what appears to have been a brilliant window ahead of their top flight return.
