Aston Villa fans’ patience wears thin with Manchester United loanee.
Axel Tuanzebe hoped his loan spell at Aston Villa would kickstart his Manchester United chances, but it has not helped so far.
While the promising young defender made his Premier League debut for the Red Devils last season, he was sent on loan this January after being stuck down the pecking order.
He started for Villa last night only to get injured 26 minutes into their 1-0 win over Cardiff City.
Tuanzebe was making only his fifth start of his loan spell, with this his first match in the last four.
He has made only two appearances since February 20, and his injury came as a bitter blow for him personally.
Villa were able to rally and go on to keep a clean sheet, and Tuanzebe is unlikely to come back into the starting line-up when Steve Bruce’s side play Leeds United on Friday night.
Fans have predictably been underwhelmed by Tuanzebe’s loan stint so far, and reacted with annoyance to his latest setback…
