Aston Villa have received a major boost ahead of their return to Championship action, with Keinan Davis signing a new contract at Villa Park.
Aston Villa fans have been reacting on Twitter after the club confirmed on their official website that Keinan Davis has signed a new contract with the Championship side.
Davis is arguably one of the brightest prospects in Steve Bruce’s squad, and has been a regular fixture in the Villans side this term, making 13 appearances to date.
It had appeared however, that the 19-year-old’s future at Villa Park may be in some doubt, with the Telegraph reporting earlier this month that a number of Premier League sides, including West Brom, were monitoring his situation as talks over a contract extension reached an impasse.
However, less than two weeks after that report, it appears that whatever stumbling blocks stood between a deal have been dealt with, as the side has confirmed on their official website that he has signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2020.
Unsurprisingly, the news has gone down incredibly well with Villa fans on social media, with many expressing their delight at seeing Davis commit his future for the next couple of years to the club.
And they will undoubtedly be hoping that that provides Bruce’s men with a major boost ahead of the return of the Championship this weekend where Villa will try and get back to winning ways.
