The Aston Villa summer signing has been called up by Tite and plenty of Villa Park faithful are delighted.

A number of Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the news that Douglas Luiz has been called up to the Brazil senior squad (CBF Futebol).
Luiz became Villa’s 10th summer signing following promotion to the Premier League when he joined from Manchester City in a deal reported by BBC Sport as costing the Villa Park side £10million and is already very much en route to becoming a claret and blue fan favourite.
To date, the Toulon Tournament Player of the Year has made eight appearances in all competitions, including seven in the Premier League, and has scored two goals, both in the top flight (Transfermarkt).
On Friday, the CBF Futebol Twitter feed confirmed that Luiz – who has been impressive for Brazil’s Under-23s – is in the Selecao senior squad for the game against Argentina in Saudi Arabia on 15 November and the clash with South Korea in Abu Dhabi four days later.
Here is what some Villa fans said on social media regarding the news:
Brazil boss Tite did not select any home-based players to avoid conflicts with teams playing the final rounds of the Brazilian league, with eight of the squad drawn from the Premier League (BBC Sport).
