The Aston Villa club captain played the full 90 minutes for the Villa Park Under-23s on Monday night.

A number of Aston Villa fans have been commenting on Twitter as James Chester continues to build fitness, his latest milestone a full appearance for the Under-23s on Monday night.
The Villa Park club captain is on the comeback trail from a hamstring injury sustained in a pre-season friendly with Shrewsbury Town in July.
Last season, Chester pretty much ran himself into the ground for Villa in the latter stages of the calendar year as, despite having knee injuries, he soldiered on playing in defence during an injury crisis at the back around the festive period.
By the time January came round and Dean Smith could finally bring in reinforcements at centre-back, recalling Tommy Elphick from Hull City and signing Tyrone Mings and Kortney Hause initially on loan, Chester would not play again that season as it took him until May to recover from his knee problems.
The 30-year-old is yet to make the matchday squad in the Premier League this season, but was an unused substitute for the first time in the 2-1 defeat of Wolverhampton Wanderers last week, and on Monday night he completed the full 90 minutes against Newcastle’s U23s.
Here is what some claret and blue supporters have been saying on Twitter about the £8.4million signing from West Brom (Transfermarkt):
Villa were twice pegged back in the Premier League 2 game as Tyreik Wright gave his side the lead, only for Luke Charman to equalise, before Jacob Ramsey restored advantage, Charman gave the Magpies parity again, and the match was finally settled by Michael Tait’s 90th-minute strike for a 3-2 win.
