Former Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce is reportedly keen on bringing Lee Cattermole to Sheffield Wednesday.

A number of Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the reports emerging from The Sun on Sunday (10/3; page 61) which suggested that Steve Bruce is keen on taking Lee Cattermole to Sheffield Wednesday on loan.
The report from The Sun on Sunday (10/3; page 61) suggested that the Owls are willing to pay a large chunk of the midfielder’s wages to try and get a deal done. A move would see Cattermole sign for Bruce for a third time in his career.
The 30-year-old is not a player that boasts the best reputation, with his combative style leading some to label him a dirty player. He has not been sent off this season, but he has collected 12 yellow cards in 26 appearances in all competitions.
And that may be why some Villa supporters have mocked Wednesday fans on social media following the reports. Bruce was heavily criticised during the latter stages of his tenure at Villa Park as the fans began to fear that their side would not challenge for promotion this season.

In fairness to Bruce, he had taken the Villans to the play-off final last season. But there was plenty of criticism over some of the signings that he made during his spell in charge, and his departure earlier this term seemed to make sense for all parties.
And it appears that a number of Villa supporters are even more pleased that he is now managing elsewhere following the reports of his interest in Cattermole – with some suggesting that the Owls may be about to find out why he was slated for some of his decisions in the transfer market.

Here is how some of the Aston Villa fans reacted to reports of Sheffield Wednesday’s interest…
