The standstill in English football has left every Aston Villa fan worried about their status of being a Premier League club.
Dean Smith’s side are in real trouble now with 10 games left. Villa are 19th at the moment and, if the FA decide to call off the season like they did in France, they will go down to the Championship.
However, the Premier League is expected to return very soon and Villa will have the chance to get themselves up the table to avoid what they dread the most.
The players returned to training last week and the club’s official twitter handle posted pictures of all of their top players except one.
John McGinn has been out of action since December and it was initially feared that he will miss the remainder of the season.
However, his recovery was quick and he was said to be fit for the game against Chelsea – Villa’s first game to be suspended.
McGinn struggled to get himself fit by then, but Tuesday’s training ground photos made Villa fans go wild on social media.
The Scotsman seems to have finally returned to full training and that could well be the boost Villa need to get themselves out of the relegation zone.
