According to a report from the Telegraph, Aston Villa are weighing up a bid for either Todd Cantwell or Emiliano Buendia this summer.

The Norwich City duo are high on many clubs’ wish list after the Canaries suffered relegation from the Premier League. Villa will only make a move for one of them, according to the report, but who should they go for?

Cantwell has had a fantastic season in his debut Premier League campaign. The 22-year-old scored seven times in all competitions including goals against Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal.

The Englishman, despite his age, showed real flair and confidence on the ball and it is only a matter of time before he makes a move to one of the Premier League sides.

Buendia, on the other hand, scored only once all season. However, the Argentine picked up eight assists in all competitions, which really is impressive considering that his side only scored 26 times in the entire campaign.

The former Getafe man has had a lot of interest coming from Premier League sides. The Independent claimed last week that newly promoted Leeds United were eyeing a move for Buendia and that the Canaries are prepared to cash in on him.

However, a deal can only be struck if interested clubs match Norwich City’s £20 million asking price, something that should be feasible for Aston Villa in the coming weeks.

Villa fans were excited over their club’s reported interest in one of the two Norwich stars. Some supporters have already made up their mind which Canaries star they would like at Villa Park next season.

Here is how they reacted on Twitter:
