Aston Villa are now working with Jorge Mendes to get deals done this summer, and Andre Gray is on his books.
Watford striker Gray has Mendes as his agent, and Villa fans believe it is possible that he could be brought in.
Gray is not neccesarrily certain of a starting position at Watford, but it would still be an eye raising signing if Villa were able to land him.
The claret and blues appear to have some money to spend again now, following their takeover.
Villa may need to offload Jack Grealish to afford to bring in a player of Gray’s price-tag and quality though.
Gray has proven to be a prolific scorer at Championship level and would significantly strengthen Steve Bruce’s side for the campaign ahead.
Villa are yet to make a signing so far this summer, although Andre Moreira’s deal is expected to be announced soon.
