Moreira has struggled at Villa since joining the club on loan from Atletico Madrid.

Andre Moreira’s season-long loan spell is reportedly set to be cancelled by Aston Villa and return to Spanish side Atletico Madrid after failing to break into the side – and Villa fans are delighted.
Birmingham Live claim the 23-year-old’s loan is to be terminated after managing just two appearances for the Midlands side since Steve Bruce decided to bring him in as cover for Orjan Nyland.
The Portugal Under-21 international, though, has failed to even make the bench under Dean Smith since the former Brentford boss replaced Bruce back in October.
Villa have signed Croatia international Lovre Kalinic from Belgian side Gent this month, which was Smith’s first signing as Villa boss. Jed Steer has also been recalled to the club from his impressive loan at Charlton Athletic.

It leaves Villa with numerous options between the sticks, despite Nyland’s season-ending knee injury. Kalinic, Steer, Mark Bunn, Moreira and even youngster Matija Sarkic are all options.
So, it seems the obvious move for Villa to cancel Moreira’s loan just 24 hours after it was confirmed that Yannick Bolasie had returned to parent club Everton – and fans are pleased with the decision to send the Portuguese stopper packing.
