Aston Villa have reportedly required about Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon.
Aston Villa supporters on Twitter have provided a mixed reaction to reports linking them with Fulham’s highly-rated wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon.
The Telegraph have claimed that Villa have made an enquiry for the 19-year-old winger, who was relegated to the Championship with Fulham last season.
Sessegnon caused Villa heartache in May 2018 when he helped Fulham beat the Midlands outfit in the Championship play-off final – they have subsequently swapped divisions.
Simply put, Sessegnon has wowed one and all in the Championship, but he was unable to produce the goods when given a chance in the Premier League.
Therefore, it can be understood why some Villa fans wouldn’t been keen on that reported enquiry turning into anything more serious.
But it must be noted that Sessegnon is still a teenager, who is still learning his craft, and with or without the versatile attacker, Fulham would have still gone straight down last season.
Dean Smith is need of some more depth out wide with Anwar El Ghazi, Andre Green, Jota and Jonathan Kodjia the players that can play out on the flanks for him, at this moment in time.
It remains to be seen whether anything will materialise with Sessegnon or whether he will move to another Premier League club because other clubs are keen on his services.
