Aston Villa have won 10 games on the bounce in the Championship and have secured a playoff spot.

Aston Villa fans on Twitter have been left utterly perplexed after goalkeeper Jed Steer was named in the EFL’s Team of the Week.
The EFL confirmed on their official Twitter account that Villa’s shot-stopper was selected in between the sticks after helping his team to a 1-0 win over Millwall on Monday and a 2-0 win over Bolton last Friday.
Villa supporters have been left very surprised because they feel their keeper didn’t have much to do during those games as they feel the opposition keeper should have been selected ahead of him.
Steer has kept back-to-back clean sheets in these last few days, but he has not been tested much as Dean Smith’s side have recorded an incredible 10 wins on the bounce in the league.
During those games, Steer has stopped the opposition from scoring on five occasions as Villa have secured their playoff spot for the second season running.
Here is a selection of Villa fans on Twitter reacting to Steer making the TOTW:
Steer started Villa’s first game of the season when they beat Hull City 3-1 away from home but then-manager Steve Bruce opted to loan him out to League One side Charlton.
During the January transfer window, Dean Smith decided to recall him back from the Valley and since the end of February, he has kept his place in Villa’s starting XI.
