Aston Villa picked up another win on Saturday night, beating Newcastle United 2-0 at Villa Park.
Dean Smith’s side were looking to bounce back from a 2-0 midweek defeat at Manchester City, and did so with ease.
Ollie Watkins headed Villa in front, beating Karl Darlow to the ball as Fabian Schar failed to deal with a Matt Targett cross.
Bertrand Traore fired home the second, turning Jack Grealish’s pass into the net with the aid of the crossbar.
Villa were the better side throughout but couldn’t add to their lead, and still move up to eighth in the Premier League table.
A number of players impressed for Villa, but fans offered huge praise to midfielder Marvelous Nakamba, who came in for a rare start.

Nakamba was making just his second league start of the season, but was very effective in front of the Villa back line.
Supporters took to Twitter to suggest that, even though they’re not Nakamba’s biggest fans, they felt he was ‘unbelievable’.
It’s clear that Nakamba doesn’t often get this kind of praise, but he was labelled ‘outstanding’ and ‘immense’ for his performance.
