Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has suggested to the Birmingham Mail that he could recall Aston Villa’s Josh Onomah, and supporters of the Championship side do not seem to bothered that the midfielder could depart.

Villa have Onomah on loan for the season, and he has played an important role for Steve Bruce’s side.

However, Villa fans do not appear to have been too impressed by Onomah’s contribution, and are not fussed if he does return to Spurs.

Whether Tottenham will want to recall Onomah remains to be seen, as the 20-year-old appears to have little chance of breaking into Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team.

Spurs have a number of options in midfield, and could yet strengthen in that position in January.

Villa, meanwhile, are thought to be wanting to keep the bulk of their squad together, as Bruce’s side go for promotion.

Villa are currently in fifth place in the Championship table, seven points away from the automatic promotion spaces.

Onomah has made 19 Championship appearances for Villa so far, and he has scored on three occasions.
