Aston Villa dropped to 19th in the Championship earlier today, after another poor result in the league. The relegated side lost 2-0 at Deepdale against Preston North End. Goals from Ben Pearson and Jordan Hugill did the trick as Villa rarely threatened Simon Grayson’s men – although Ross McCormack did miss a last minute penalty.
Plenty of players found themselves in for criticism from the Villa faithful after the game, but perhaps none more so than Mile Jedinak.
When the Australian was signed from Crystal Palace it looked like an excellent piece of business.
But he has looked a shade of his former self in this Villa side.

He appears to be off the pace and is struggling with forging a midfield partnership with Ashley Westwood, who himself is woefully out of form.
Jedinak was expected to be a massive boost to the Villa midfield, but so far the Australian has struggled to adapt to life in the second tier.
There was absolutely no sympathy for him on Twitter. Aston Villa fans are wondering when the real Jedinak will turn up. Others appear to have lost patience…
