The 21-year-old has struggled to break into the Villa first team and so switched from Villa Park to Kenilworth Road for the season.

A number of Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on the news that defender James Bree has joined Championship new-boys Luton Town on loan for the 2019-20 season.
The 21-year-old joined the Villans from Barnsley in January 2017 but has truggled to hold down a regular first-team berth under both Steve Bruce and Dean Smith, with just 28 senior appearances to date (Transfermarkt).
Bree did get an extended run midway through last season when Villa had injury problems but lost his place when Tyrone Mings and Kortney Hause were snapped up on loan, and he ended up being sent on loan to Ipswich Town for the rest of the campaign.
With Villa Park side having bolstered their ranks considerably following their Championship playoff triumph and return to the Premier League, it looked unlikely that Bree’s first-team opportunities would have improved this term.
Here is what some Villa fans have said on social media about the full-back’s temporary switch to Luton, who will be eager to consolidate their place in the second tier this term:
Bree could make his Luton debut against Cardiff City in the Welsh capital this weekend, the Hatters having kicked off the Championship season last week with a point in a thrilling 3-3 draw with Middlesbrough at Kenilworth Road.
