The Aston Villa captain has been getting better and better for Dean Smith and co as the Premier League season has gone on.

A number of Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the news that Jack Grealish has been named WhoScored’s Premier League Player of the Month for October.
The Villa captain, much like the rest of the team, needed a little time to find his feet in the top flight following promotion, and now he is in superb form and pushing for an England call-up more than ever before.
As noted by WhoScored on their website, Grealish – who finished with a rating of 8.02 – played a direct hand in three goals in as many league appearances in October (two goals, one assist) and was their Man of the Match in their 2-1 win over Brighton.
The stats site also noted how Grealish was fouled more times (13) than any other player in the Premier League in October but, while he suffered a knock against Manchester City, he is “pushing to be fit for Saturday”, according to Villa boss Dean Smith (Liverpool Echo).
Here is some of the social reaction to the update:
Grealish has made 12 appearances for Villa in all competitions this season, scoring four goals and notching up four assists, according to Transfermarkt.
